The couple settled in Utah and lived there throughout their marriage. Carol and Marlow were married for 46 years and had six children together.
Carol was my (half) 3rd cousin. Our direct ancestor was Lincelia E "Celia" Claxton (1839-1882). Carol was descended from Celia's first husband, Elias Price (1834-1862). He was killed in the Civil War, and she remarried George W. Schwalls, Sr., who was my 2nd great-grandfather.
These types of
articles offer lots of information for the family tree. They provide the
bride's maiden name; the names of the parents of the couple and where they are
from; where they each attended school; and where the couple plans to live after their honeymoon. Because of the great
information they provide, I save all engagement, wedding, and marriage
announcements I find.
