Sunday, April 7, 1929: "Children & I went to Sun. School. Kenneth to the Baptist Church. Kenneth went to Espy's and L., A. & E. & I went to Weaver's, Viella & family were there. Had a nice time. Ethel went with her friends. Luther, Alice & I went to Vespers."
Monday, April 8, 1929: "Washed & worked all day. Alice & I went to town when L. got home. The girls went over to Elsie Tate's so I read out loud in the evening."
Tuesday, April 9, 1929: "Had an awful big ironing. Washed a few things also. Viella Hesser was here for about an hour. Kenneth worked on the yard and for Mrs. Hammond. Mrs. Pettibone called in the afernoon. Lucille was here for supper & Ethel stayed with her all night."
Wednesday, April 10, 1929: "Was going to Ladies' Aid meeting but at 10 o'clock Ethel came home with her foot hurt so didn't go. Carley called on Ethel. Mrs. Woessner called and Mona & Ed Espy were here for supper & they with Kenneth & Alice went to the show afterwards."
Thursday, April 11, 1929: "Kenneth got his letter telling him of a job at $4.75 a day at a mine in Mill City, Nevada so we went up town to fix up business for him to go. Got home at one o'clock. Harlan M[?].. Millan was here for supper. Stayed at Woessner's awhile in the eve."
Friday, April 12, 1929: "Packed Kenneth's trunk and got him ready to go. Went up town wth K. after dinner. Then we took his trunk & checked it. Luther came home at noon & we took K. to main line depot & he left at 2:49 P.M. Stayed at Woessner's in the evening."
Saturday, April 13, 1929: "Ethel went down to Lucille's & the girls went to the show in the afternoon. Alice & I cleaned out K's room & put papers & books away. Went to town when L. came home. Ethel went to S.B. to show with Carly in the eve. Got card & telegram from Kenneth."
