Ken Houck

Dec. 3, 1942 — May 19, 2003

BELTON — Kenneth Wayne Houck, 60, of 1226 Bell Road died Monday, May 19, 2003, at St. Francis Hospital.

Born in Hartsville, he was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, retired conductor from CSX Railroad and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher, chairman of the building and grounds committee, and church clerk.

Surviving are widow, Sara Ellison Houck of the home; sons, Todd Houck of Hartsville and Michael Houck of Rankin, Ga.; step-daughter, Tammy Davis of Woodruff; two grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

He was the son of the late Calvin Kenneth and Frances Blackwell Houck. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Ann Houck.

Services are at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Grove Baptist Church by the Revs. Dean Webb, Jerry Mize, Landrum Reese and Jimmy Smith.

The family is at the home and will receive friends following the service at the church.

Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Magnolia Cemetery in Hartsville.

The family suggests memorials be made to Cedar Grove Baptist Church Organ Fund, 13027 S.C. 20, Belton, S.C. 29627.

Gray Mortuary of Pelzer is in charge of arrangements.
