Sunday's Obituary: Mattie Townsend Rogers

"MS. MATTIE ROGERS HOMEMAKER


Ms. Mattie Cleo Rogers, 91, of Route 1, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 1994, at Wrightsville Manor. 

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Rehoboth Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Willis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. 

Ms. Rogers, a native of Johnson County, was a homemaker and member of Rehoboth Baptist Church. 

Survivors include a sister, Novie Cochran, Fayetteville, N.C. 

Pallbearers will be Perry Rogers, Harold Bozeman, David Brantley, Jack Morris, Bennie Lee and Morris Brantley. 

Stanley Funeral Home, Wrightsville, is in charge of arrangements."

Mattie Cleo Townsend Rogers was the daughter of Silas James Townsend and Catherine "Cassie" Tyson Townsend.
