Treasure Chest Thursday: Grandma's Locket
This United States Navy locket belonged to my grandmother, Ethel Ranney Tapley. It was obviously a gift from her husband, my grandfather, Charles Morgan Tapley as he served in the Navy twice. That is Grandma's picture next to the locket. I like to think the locket was a comfort to her during the months he was away while serving in World War II.

Very cool locket! I came upon it while researching one I am selling. Looks like someone fashioned the word Mother out of sterling silver in script, then hung a small mother of pearl ring, then hung a locket very similar to this one underneath. Thanks for posting this!
