          Otho is Otho Hesser, her father's cousin.
          Viella is Otho's wife.
          Uncle Jont is Jonathan Hesser, Otho's father and her father's uncle.
          Aunt Kate is Sarah Katherine Hall Hesser, Jonathan's wife and Otho's mother
          Herman is Alice's boyfriend.

Sun., March 26:  "Sweeters came for dinner.  I went with H. Wallon & H. to Bartow Flats (Wallaces place).  Hiked about 10 mi.  Joe & Caroline came over in the evening & took us for a ride."

Mon., March 27:  "Mama & I washed.  H. came over & we went to San Berdo. to look at cars.  Went back to Berdo 2 times finally bought a 27 Buick roadster.  Ate supper at Fox's."

Tues., March 28:  "Mrs. Ball is sick & mama took care of her all day.  Clara waved my hair.  In the evening H. & I were invited to Trowbridges to an oyster dinner.  It rained today."

Wed., March 29:  "Mama stayed all day at Mrs. Balls.  H. came over & we went to Redlands & brought Alice home from school.  In the evening H. went to Pomona with Tony.  I took Clara to the show.  Saw Buster K."

Thurs., March 30:  "H. came over about 6 am.  Ate breakfast & then to his aunts.  Started for Los Angeles about 9 am.  Elsie lives in a cute place.  Saw Lester & Eva.  Took Delma to town to shop.  Stayed all night."

Fri., March 31:  "Ate dinner at Elsie's & started for home.  Lucile & Clint came up.  L. wanted me to go home with her.  Played penucle before we went."

Sat., April 1:  "Got up about 9:30.  Came home about 2:30 pm.Stopped at Clints & H. brought me home.  In the eve. we went with Clint & Lucile to the show.  Saw King of the Jungle."
