Treasure Chest Thursday

 Mom and I have been doing a lot of cleaning out and up the last few weeks.  I've been working on the storage room and she's been working on her office.  One of the things she found was her mother's recipe box.  

I went through it this morning and found only one recipe card in my grandmother's handwriting.  

"Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

• 2 cups flour

• 2 tsp. baking powder

• ⅔ cup milk

• ½ tsp. salt

• ⅓ cup sugar

• ½ tsp. cinnamon

• ½ cup raisins

• 4 tbsp. lard

• 3 tbsp. butter

Instructions

1. Roll 1/4 in. thick.

2. Spread with raisins & sprinkle with mixture of butter, sugar & cinnamon.

3. Roll as jelly roll, cut in 1 in. slices, sprinkle with sugar.

4. Bake 425 degrees dec. to 350 degrees." - Transcription by Google Gemini
