Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - This Week's Genealogy Highlight

From Randy over at Genea-Musings:

Calling all Genea-Musings Fans:

 It's Saturday Night again -
time for some more Genealogy Fun!!

Here is your assignment if you choose to play along (cue the Mission Impossible music, please!):

1) What genealogy fun have you had this week?  What is your genealogy highlight of the week?  It could be attending the NGS conference, it could be finding a new ancestor, or it could be reading a new genealogy book, or anything else that you have enjoyed.

2)  Tell us about it in a blog post on your own blog, in a comment to this post, or in a Google Plus or Facebook post.

Here's mine:

Truthfully, I was having too much fun in my personal life to do much genealogy this week.  However, there was one highlight.  I found out that a fellow researcher went to a local used book sale and found a book with abstracts of Edgecombe County, North Carolina deeds, 1732-1758... with LOTS of Drakes in it.   Cannot wait to borrow that book!

  1. Oh my, what a nice find. I bet that fellow genealogist is making a very long list of things she will be asking for in return for loaning out said book....or maybe not!
