Amanuensis Monday: Thomas T Page Marriage Record

"An Amanuensis is a person employed to write what another dictates or to copy what has been written by another. Amanuensis Monday is a daily blogging theme which encourages the family historian to transcribe family letters, journals, audiotapes, and other historical artifacts. Not only do the documents contain genealogical information, the words breathe life into kin – some we never met – others we see a time in their life before we knew them." - from Geneabloggers
Today we have the marriage record of Thomas T. Page and Charity Whitfield from the "Emanuel County, Georgia Marriage Records, 1817-1903, p.24" on microfilm at the Georgia Archives. Thomas was my great grand uncle. His sister, Elizabeth Rebecca (Beckie) Page Tapley was my great-grandmother.

"Georgia Emanuel County} I do certify that I joined
Thomas T Page and Charity Whitfield in the
wholey Estate of Matrimoney this the 15th of
Febuary 1849. Isaac Norris M. Jr. [??]"
